For All the Citizens of Tsuchiura City (May.22.2020)

Today, one week has passed since the declaration of emergency was lifted, Ibaraki prefecture reviewed the stage of the countermeasure and decided to lift it from Stage 3 to Stage 2 on May 25.  As a result, the self-restraint request for going out at night will also be removed (excluding elderly people, etc.).

Due to the efforts of citizens, no newly infection cases have been reported in Tsuchiura City since April 16, and the caring efforts of everyone has become the great force to prevent the spread of infection. Thank you for your support.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all healthcare providers for their dedication and daily efforts at the front lines.

In Tsuchiura City, we will reopen the elementary and junior high schools in distributed attendance style from May 27, and it will be proceeded to regular classwork.
Dear students, school life will soon begin. Please look forward to it.
